Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 16, 2026
This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. We keep data collection to what we actually need to run our business and serve our clients.
Brian Builds Web (“Brian Builds Web,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a sole proprietorship owned and operated by Brian Kramp, based in Dallas, Texas. We respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy applies to brianbuildsweb.com(the “Site”) and to the web design, development, hosting, and related digital services we provide (the “Services”).
By using the Site or our Services, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or Services.
1. Who we are & how to reach us
The business responsible for your information (where applicable, the “data controller”) is:
- Brian Builds Web — a sole proprietorship owned and operated by Brian Kramp
- Dallas, Texas
- Email: hello@brianbuildsweb.com
For any privacy question or request, email us at hello@brianbuildsweb.com and we’ll respond within one business day.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
When you contact us, request a quote, or use the project-brief tool on our Site (which opens a pre-filled message in your own email app), you choose what to send. That typically includes your name, email address, business name, and details about your project. We only receive this information if you actually send it to us.
Client & billing information
If you become a client, we collect the information needed to deliver and bill for the Services — for example your contact and business details, billing contact, billing address, the package or plan you purchase, and records of invoices and payments. To deliver the Services we may also receive access credentials or account access you provide (for example to your domain registrar, content platforms, or analytics) strictly to do the work you’ve hired us for.
Payment information
We use Stripe to process payments. When you pay an invoice or subscribe to a plan, your card or bank details are collected and processed directly by Stripe under Stripe’s privacy policy and its PCI-DSS-compliant systems. We do not collect or store your full card number, CVC, or bank credentials on our own systems. We receive limited information from Stripe such as your name, the last four digits of the payment method, the payment amount and date, and whether a payment succeeded — which we use to manage your account and keep our records.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider logs standard request data when you visit — for example your IP address, browser and device type, referring page, and the pages requested — for security and reliability. We do not currently run third-party web analytics on the Site. If we add privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics in the future, we will update this Policy.
Cookies & similar technologies
The Site does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Any cookies or local storage are limited to what is needed for the Site to function. Your browser settings let you block or delete cookies; blocking essential cookies may affect how the Site works.
3. How we use information
We use the information above to:
- Respond to your inquiries and provide quotes and proposals;
- Deliver, operate, maintain, and support the Services;
- Process payments, send invoices, and manage subscriptions and renewals through Stripe;
- Communicate with you about your project, account, and billing;
- Operate, secure, debug, and improve the Site and Services;
- Comply with our legal obligations and enforce our agreements; and
- With your consent, send occasional updates you can opt out of at any time.
We process this information because it is necessary to perform our contract with you, to pursue our legitimate interest in running and improving our business, to comply with law, or with your consent — depending on the situation and where you are located.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only as follows:
- Service providers (subprocessors) who help us run our business under contract — for example Stripe (payments), our website hosting provider, and our email provider. They may only use your information to provide services to us.
- Platforms used to deliver your Services.When the work you’ve hired us for involves third-party platforms (for example a content management system, domain registrar, email tools, or marketing and listing platforms), we share only what’s needed to perform that work. Each platform is governed by its own terms and privacy policy.
- Legal & safety. When required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our clients, our business, or others.
- Business transfers. If our business is merged, acquired, or its assets transferred, your information may be part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.
5. Third-party services & links
The Site and Services may link to or rely on third-party services we don’t control, including Stripe. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties; we encourage you to review their policies. The portfolio examples on our Site are demonstrations and do not collect your personal information.
6. Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here — for example, to provide the Services, maintain our business and financial records, resolve disputes, and meet legal, accounting, or tax requirements. When we no longer need it, we delete or anonymize it.
7. Your choices & rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, update, port, or delete your personal information, to opt out of marketing messages, and to object to or restrict certain processing. These may include rights under laws such as the EU/UK GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), to the extent those laws apply to us.
- To exercise any of these rights, email hello@brianbuildsweb.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
- You can opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link or by emailing us.
- We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal information, and we rely on reputable providers (such as Stripe for payments) for sensitive data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and to address issues promptly.
9. Children’s privacy
The Site and Services are intended for businesses and adults. They are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, email us and we will delete it.
10. International users
We operate from the United States. If you access the Site or Services from outside the U.S., your information will be processed in the U.S. and other countries where we or our providers operate, which may have different data-protection laws than your own.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above, and for material changes we’ll take reasonable steps to notify you. Your continued use of the Site or Services after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
